tweening: still image with minimal added motion, typically head bobbing and stuff
jitter: still image drawn twice or more, with slight differences between frames giving a "wiggle" effect
animatic: sequence of still images with no motion other than slideshow-style transitions
frame-by-frame: each frame is a seperate image drawn one by one, like most animated movies
