 |  You follow the path leading to the cave. As you approach, you get a closer look at the drawings on the walls; the creatures portrayed look vaguely like dragons, but you can see that they are definitely not like any dragon breed you have encountered before. You come close enough to see that it is not just one cave in the area; several other tunnels and dens are hidden nearby, some with real, living versions of the strange etchings within. Some of the ones you can see stare down at you, and you can tell there are many, many more within the main cave. Whispers begin to circulate among voices you have never heard before, a growling dialect similar to your own native tongue which you can vaguely understand. Finally, you reach the entrance. A small group of dragons have assembled to meet this new arrival, lead by a strange creature that seems half-horse, half-dragon. Its piercing red eyes scan you from claw to snout. It turns to its fellows, and you catch the words "stranger", "dragon" and "trust". After a moment, the head of the pack turns back to you. "Welcome, stranger. Care to introduce yourself?" | |
